Steven Christianson 🔥 Rank: Fire Chief at Archerwill Fire Department Today we are honoured to introduce our Fire Chief, a man whose dedication to protecting our community runs deep. He has spent an incredible 34 years serving in the fire service, with the past 20 years proudly leading our department as Chief. In addition to his fire service, he has devoted 25 years as a Medical First Responder. He was part of the very first group in our community to receive medical training, helping lay the foundation for the emergency response system we rely on today. Our Chief is known for: Leading with experience, fairness, and integrity. Staying calm and level-headed during emergencies. Setting a strong example for every firefighter. Encouraging training, growth, and teamwork and his deep commitment to the safety of our community. For more than three decades, he has been a steady, trusted, and respected leader. His dedication and service have shaped our department into what it is today. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Steven said: ‘It gives me great pride serving on the Archerwill Fire Department and with our First Responders Team. I value the teamwork, the trust we share, and the chance to help people during their hardest moments.’ Hobbies and interests- flying, fishing & hunting. 🔥 Tye Hagenes 🔥 Rank: Assistant Chief, Archerwill Fire Department Tye is our Assistant Chief, and he’s the definition of a dependable, get-it-done firefighter. If a job needs doing, Tye is one of the first to step up with no hesitation. His hands on mindset and ability to fix just about anything make him one of the problem solvers on our team. Tye has been proudly serving in the fire service for 8 years, and he has also dedicated those same 8 years as a Medical First Responder. His commitment to training, skill development, and teamwork shows in everything he does. Whether it’s tackling a tough call, helping with equipment, or supporting his crew, Tye leads by example with steady confidence and a calm presence. His reliability, strong work ethic, and genuine care for the community make him an invaluable part of the Archerwill Fire Department. We are proud to have him as part of our leadership team. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Tye said: ‘Helping people.’ Hobbies and interests- Curling Thank you, Tye, for everything you bring to our department and community. 🔥 Jeremy Beuermann 🔥 Rank: First Captain Jeremy has been serving with the fire department for 13 years, and in that time he has become a leader who truly puts people first. As First Captain, Jeremy looks out for the betterment of everyone around him and his crew, his neighbours, and the community he’s proud to serve. He is deeply community minded, believing that small towns are built on helping one another, and he carries that belief into every call and every decision he makes. Jeremy leads by example. He is calm under pressure, steady when things get chaotic, and ready and willing to step in and help. He supports his team, and encourages everyone to grow and succeed. His compassion, and strong work ethic make him a respected leader both on the fireground and in everyday life. To Jeremy, his neighbours truly mean everything—and serving them with dedication, kindness, and professionalism is something he takes great pride in. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Jeremy said: ‘I enjoy knowing that I'm helping someone. That someone is likley gunna be a friend or community member that I will know cause we live in a small town. Sometimes I think people forget the strength of a small community and for that reason alone, in lots of places, it's easy to forget the small things. 🔥 Bradley Christianson 🔥 Rank: Second Captain With an incredible 23 years of dedicated service, Brad is one of those firefighters every department is grateful to have. A quick thinker and strong decision maker, he’s always ready to step in wherever he’s needed whether that’s on the front line or operating one of the trucks. He is a respectful and supportive fireman who is always willing to lend a hand. A trusted member of our department, Brad plays a key role in guiding our new members with encouragement, and experience. He stands behind his crew no matter what and is always there to talk to if anyone ever needs. Brad brings great ideas to the table and is a fixer of many things, making him an invaluable resource both on and off the fireground. He is also skilled at reading fire behaviour, helping the team make more effective decisions on scene. Known for his sense of humour, he keeps morale high and brings a positive, uplifting atmosphere to every meeting, every practice and every call. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Bradley said: ‘I Love being part of the fire department knowing I’m helping people and serving the community.’ Hobbies and interests- Skidooing, Atving, Camping and hanging out with family and friends. 🔥 Kelly Christianson 🔥 Rank: Third Captain With 12 years of dedicated service, Kelly is a vital member of our fire department. He is always willing to drop what he’s doing to help, stepping in without hesitation whenever the call comes. Whether he’s on the front line or assisting with the trucks, Kelly brings a ready to work attitude and quick thinking to every situation. Kelly is dedicated, experienced, and reliable. He is someone you can count on during an emergency. His strong work ethic and technical skills make him an invaluable asset on scene. He is a think-outside-the-box problem solver who brings great ideas forward, he is mechanically skilled and always ready to fix what’s needed. He has excellent situational awareness and consistently makes smart, informed decisions when it matters most. Kelly’s dependability, knowledge, and commitment strengthen our team every day. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Kelly said: ‘Helping the people.’ Hobbies and interests- Fishing and spending time with family and friends. 🔥Rob Wells 🔥Rank: EMO for Ponass Lake and Barrier Valley RMs/Firefighter Rob brings an incredible depth of experience to our community, having served almost 32 years with the Saskatoon Fire Department before moving back home. Today, he continues his commitment to public safety as the EMO Director for the RMs of Ponass Lake and Barrier Valley. His return has been a tremendous gift to our rural area, as he brings back decades of training, leadership, and knowledge, he now shares with the very communities he grew up in.Rob is a tremendous leader who guides our departments with patience, clarity, and genuine care. He supports local teams in their training, helps strengthen emergency response, and constantly encourages everyone to grow in skill and confidence. His passion for giving back shines through in everything he does. He is the true definition of teamwork. He is someone we look up to and deeply respect.Rob’s qualities are exactly what make him such an exceptional firefighter and leader. His experience allows him to make sound decisions in high pressure situations, while his calm presence helps keep both his team and the public steady and focused. He is reliable and dedicated, showing up every time with a strong work ethic and a focus on safety that protects everyone involved. Rob communicates clearly and effectively, ensuring that teams work together efficiently, and his community minded spirit strengthens trust with the people he serves. Reagen McDermid 🔥 Rank: Firefighter/Medical First Responder Reagen has dedicated an incredible 18 years to the Archerwill Fire Department and has also served our community and surrounding areas as a Medical First Responder for 8 years. His commitment runs deep, and anyone who knows him can see that Reagen is all heart. He brings genuine care into everything he does. Whether it’s answering a call or supporting someone through a difficult moment, Reagen is the kind of person who shows up willing, ready, and fully committed. Friendly and approachable, he carries himself with determination and respect, making him someone people feel comfortable turning to. Reagen has strong technical skills and is always looking for ways to improve. He is proactive with training, eager to learn, and quick to share his knowledge with others. He takes initiative without being asked, stepping in where he’s needed and helping keep the team sharp, prepared, and confident. On scene, he is remarkably calm and steady, bringing a reassuring presence even during high pressure moments. His compassion, loyalty, and strong sense of responsibility guide every decision he makes. He consistently puts others first, using his clear thinking and calm approach to help both his team and the people they serve. Our department is fortunate to have someone who leads with both heart and skill, and we are proud to recognize his years of service. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Reagen said: ‘Enjoying being there for the community that’s been there for me and working with our team of people.’ Hobbies and interests- Hockey, fishing and being at the lake. 🔥 Michael Kohlen 🔥 Rank: Firefighter Today we are proud to recognize Firefighter Michael Kohlen, who has dedicated an incredible 35 years of service to our department. Michael is truly one of a kind and an invaluable asset to our team. With decades of experience and deep knowledge, Michael is often the steady voice who helps guide the crew, ensuring the right decisions are made when it matters most. He is calm under pressure, a smart and thoughtful thinker, and always team oriented. But one of Michael’s greatest gifts is the energy he brings to the department. He’s a people person through and through always quick with a smile, ready with a joke, and always able to lift the spirits of those around him. If you need your smile put back on, Michael is your guy. He communicates clearly, encourages the crew, and knows how to balance professionalism with light hearted fun. His presence makes our department stronger, safer, and a whole lot brighter. When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Michael said: ‘I’ve always been a firm believer in helping the community in what ever way I could and firefighting plays a big part in helping. Serving along a great fire team is enjoyment in itself.’ Hobbies and interests- I enjoy hunting, fishing, sledding, quading, golfing, camping, traveling, spending time with grandchildren, and hanging with friends and family.
